National Coach Museum

The new huge and gorgeously modern coach museum building is ready. There has been great controversy about the subject once it costed a fortune in this times of austerity but the truth is construction started before this blody economic crisis began. Controversy continues as the opening is only schedule for 2015 because of a number of 'reasons' - it's one of those preposterous situations beyond imagination!
Meanwhile here's one more photo of the current museum housed in the Royal Riding Arena (1787) at Belém, Lisbon

Experiments With Croton

A couple of months ago I cut this tropical plant in two.
The one on top is growing indoors, just in water, next to a window facing west.
The other is outside in the shade showing great resistance to very cold nights (minimum temperatures have dropped to 4 or 5ºC at dawn).

A Kind Of "Passarola"(*)

Alfama, Lisbon
This wooden wall hides a very old building which looks like it's being restored for ages!

(*) The Passarola was an airship, whose technical characteristics are not currently known in full, invented by Bartolomeu de Gusmão, priest and scientist Portugueseborn in colonial Brazil, having flown in the year of 1709. Do read the story at Wikipedia.

Done!

We finally made it! 134 children have been photographed for the INSIDE OUT new project "HOPE". This is a random selection of the photos I took while I was doing the making of, these are not the portraits you'll see on big b&w posters on the streets of Lisbon, hopefully, next January.
