Grey Day (II)

São Domingos de Rana Parish Church.
The original building didn't survive the earthquake in 1755.

It almost looks like a B/W photo.

It is still quite lovely, even on a gray day!

Oh my god, this is a rare photo! Oeiras is cloudy! I never thought I'd see it... ;)

It's been raining for 3 days in Eagan but we're happy about it. That church is wonderful - wonder what it looks like inside (hint, hint)
Not a single church in Eagan has a PALM tree in front of it!

The roof line of this church is elegant against the grey sky.

Funny how even your "Grey days" seems to still have some light!
I bet the sun is never too far where you are.

Oh what horrible weather!! ;-) The façade is simple and therefore beautiful. Will we see the inside?

Was it rebuilt according to the original one? The sky colour adds a sober touch to it!
God bless you!

Beautiful facade, perfect take for this gray day. I like this kind weather for taking photos: no shadows, diffused light, less contrast...

Well, I like the new (!) look!

'Tis a bit grey and gloomy, but notice there are no deep shadows and overblown highlights...and one can see detail clearly...so there's a lot to be said for photography on a grey day!

The folks in charge certainly did a wonderful job of restoring this church!

Yes it is a grey day ... none of the sparkle we have come to expect from your part of the world.
