Another fantastic photo...the colors are wonderful - kind of an early morning monochrome and the place looks in great shape for being built in 1889.
Charmosa, poderia ser cenário de algum filme de época e bem romantico!Léia
Looks like a cozy little station in which to wait for a train!
But I'll bet it didn't have a concrete platform in 1889, nor the recessed tracks, so it's been updated and appears to be in great shape.
Very romantic place.
I love this! It's a perfect rural railroad station.
very pretty! just enough perspective...
Totally out of this time and days... Kind of expecting a big black and smoking locomotive coming around the bend
It's beautiful! I love the cut-out details in the overhand. I'm glad they haven't let this place decay. :)
This is like stepping back in time to a much more peaceful, uncomplicated world! Delightful capture, JM! Thank you for the memories.Sylvia
very charming ;)
Lovely shot. The light and colors are beautiful. I'd like to arrive there!
A wonderful old station... my local line is quite small and the stations are similar to this one but not as pretty..
Wow, breathtaking!!Love your photo!
Linda estação de trem, parece com aquelas de cidade do interior.
Superb shot!
I remember the station, very nice benches...
I love the tones in this shot!
I would not identify this as Portuguese. It would look at home in the western and southern parts of the USA.
Me gustan las estaciones, bonita foto.
Trains stations always make me feel sad for some reason... This captures the melancholy well.
As you know I have taken quite a lot of photos of railway stations an the differences and similarities are so interesting to compare. As for the photo itself, I can learn a thing of two from you on taking better railway station shots.
What a quaint train station! Looks like a weary traveler too!
Superb photo. I love train stations.
What a nice old station.
The architecture is classic for its time and purpose. It could be in the northeastern US - the station in the town in New Jersey where my sister lives looks very much like this.
friends, family and lovers parting
A very picturesque old station!
I love the angle of the sun you have used here, Jose. And the shades of the railway station. I call them 'shades of shabby'.
Such a 'timeless' image JM, wonder if that's 5.05am or pm. the light is lovely.
@PerthDP: It's 5.05 pm.
