It must be hard for you to see these beautiful places (with all that gorgeous tile) going to ruin! Do you think this place will be brought back to life?
Lovely shot. The economic woes of Europe and more to the point Portugal, would mean that public works such as the restoration of these lovely tiled structures would be low ont he priority list. A great pity...

encore c'est belle mosaique bleue, c'est magnifique, dommage que cela ne soit pas restaurer
You cannot hide beauty, even when decay has set in. The tiles are still outstandingly beautiful.

This gorgeous tile work could use some rescuing.
someday i'd like to see all you show us with my own eyes. you do such a beautiful job of showing decay in a gracious light.
a shame.
There needs to be a tile preservation department to go around and fix up places like this.
It is a shame indeed, but as Kate wrote, you can't totally ruin the beauty of the tile work! Beautiful capture, JM, as always!

Your decay is certainly prettier than the rust I posted the other day. :)
I do love faded beauty like this.
Uma pena, tão lindo estes azulejos.
Nicely captured. It looks as if the landscape is still maintained. Too bad the tile is going to ruin. It looks like lovely work.
Wonderful old tiles! That blue is sooo Portuguese.
Some in history has made these beautiful works, and we let them decay. Shade.
Gorgeous foto.
Beautiful even in that state.
I'll say it again, I love that Portuguese tile. The bench is nice too. I can imagine sitting here for awhile.
even in its decay, the Azulejos are still pretty.
Such a shame JM, I'm guessing that it would cost a fortune to restore that's why it's being left to decay?
