I won't be glued to the TV tonight, I don't have TV! I am so fed up with this election, you just don't know, I think a lot of their promises are sooooo irresponsible and naïve... But I'm off to vote right now!
Ciel, believe me, I know exactly what you mean. I can't stand political campaigns, it's disgusting how politicians change their speech after winning elections!
Beautiful capture, I do love the tile work and what a lovely building! Of course I feel the same as all of you regarding politics and politicians! And as you know, even Sam Schnauzer feels the same way!! At my age you don't usually wish for time to fly, but when it comes to elections it can't fly fast enough!! Hope you've had a great weekend, JM!
PS: You don't know anything about bad political campaigns until you've lived in the US. It's ridiculous! At least in Europe there are no TV commercials for politicians where the other party just spreads lies and rumours. :S
In addition to everyone else's criticism of political campaigns: it's appalling how much money is spent in the U.S. on these flurries of lies and misinformation we call campaigns. The effect is ultimately to divide us further.

Is the palace open to the public? This is beautiful - bet you have more stunning images of this place.
Cathy,
This palace is open to the public. Julie and I visited it during our too-short stay in Portugal, about 10 years ago.
JM and Ciel,
I can understand your disappointment with political campaigns. It seems that political campaigns are a permanent condition in the USA.
It doesn't look too tired to me. Elaborate details on the wall and railing and those beautiful roof tiles!
I guess similar political issues span all countries.
This is a beautiful balcony. Very impressive tile work.
Another fine photograph of a gorgeous palace! Love all the tiles and the colors and that blue sky!
wow! such gorgeous design!

Great repetitions in this image-and of course beautiful light to set it off.
Such pretty details!

Beautiful building and a gorgeous shot!

Love these colors and tiles.
As janelas são belissimas, um edificio cheio de charme!

Love this palace, the balcony is so elegant and unusual...
This is just the wing. Must be large, and, oh, so lovely~
I would like to sit up there and just relax and forget everything for a while!
That's wonderful. I could see a nice outdoor party on the balcony.
Gorgeous!
Lindíssima casa!
E ainda bem que não está "derelict"!
The tilework is stunning... in the most positive sense. Politics is stunning... in the "I think I'm going to throw up now" sense.
