I find that kind of graffiti totally offense and would have a hard time enjoying my food there. It could be so lovely without it and with a pot of flowers here and there.
Why do people deface places like this??? Never ceases to amaze and disgust me!! I, too, love the tile work! A sad, but terrific capture as always, JM! Have a great evening!
The composition of your photo and the perspective are great but this graffiti disturbs me. I can live with street art of a certain type (see Perth Daily Photo today) but this is bad.
I love this image JM, but like the others not so much the graffiti, I think your reader here must be so used to seeing it that she probably doesn't even notice it anymore!
Except for all the unattractive tagging, I'm impressed with how clean the streets and stairs look. She looks absorbed in her book. I notice that she put her back to the greater amount of tagging. Good capture. It had me studying it for a long while.

I'm not fond of that kind of tagging either. If you keep painting over it they eventually quit hitting your space (as I have learned over the years)!

Graffitis are bad and I also hate them. But your image is so lovely that I forget all graffitis and only watch the nice cafe.
She is lucky to be able to ignore it.

Hi, JM. I am checking up on photos I missed while I was away. This photograph is extraordinary.
I find the patterns and perspective make this a really great shot. The defaced walls add to the sense of being engrossed in the book.
