O frade é muito simpatico! Adorei a foto! No Brasil St. Antonio é bastante amado e tem muitas festas por todos os estados, mas acho que principalmente no Nordeste. Lindas fotos! Léia
Love, love, love the shot of St. Anthony taking a break!!! wonderful angle! The shot with the fish - at first I thought you had isolated the fish and done a b&w treatment on them.

It's wonderful to see how many ways the saint is celebrated.
belle serie, j'aime beaucoup la derniere photo
So nice to see the different shrines set up. It shows the feelings of the people.
Que saudades que tenho desses altares e de pedir o tostão ao Santo António.

So many nice decorations. It's going to be a lovely party!
This is a photographer's dream, you got so many beautiful images!
Looks like the calm before the storm... let the summer fests begin!

It looks like the calm before the storm. Very nice behind-the-seen shots!
St. Anthony is such a popular saint, it's no wonder he needs to take a little break. It looks like there are signs of festivity everywhere.
Such a deal! I'd say the merchants are happy! And the churches. Great picture of "saint" Anthony. "Hola, Tony!"
All this gives new meaning to the word, "folderal," and I also think there's something "fishy" about this post.
i love 'the saint!'
I can imagine it got crazy after you left. It looks so lively and colorful!
You can just tell how much loved this festival is JM, wonder if we'll see images tomorrow of the many people in the streets?
And he's smiling at you!
What on earth is that in the big plastic tub in the first photo? Marinated fruit?
Well, glad "The Saint" got to take a break! Love your photos, JM, as always! Such a celebration it is! Hope you have a great weekend!!

@PerthDP: Sorry, you will not see the many people in the streets... I didn't go back there! :-)
@Ciel: Olives! Big ones. Yummy! :-)
I love the large shrine.
Wow! Such a colourful celebration! I love the tissue paper flowers, so beautiful and a great idea for any occasion
