The patterns/mosaics of the many squares in the cities in Portugal were one of things that fascinated me the most about your beautiful country, JM! This is a perfect and awesome example! Hope your week is going well!!

I'm going to have to visit Lisbon. It's such a grand city and this is another example of that fact. The Santa Justa Elevator intrigues me, though - what's that all about?

Só é pena a estátua meio cortada. Ficaria óptima na composição.

Passa lá quando quiseres.

Love the wavy pattern in the stones. And the bird on the statue's head - they always do that, don't they?

It must be a beautiful city!

A beautiful square - and both the Elevator and the Convent are interesting and worthy subjects. I've never seen anything akin to the Elevator - and it looks as if Eiffel's apprentice had some lovely ideas to express. It looks as if the Convent open to explore?

Whaaat! that is amazing JM, I just clicked the link for the Santa Justa Elevator, what an amazing structure, surely that must be one of a kind, unique. Love every angle you take of Rossio Square.

I love seeing this square. Those wavy tiles remind me so much of Rio... although I guess historically it's the other way around! :)

This is an interesting angle on Rossio Square. Some other angles of the square would be appreciated.
