Those photos somehow to me look as if they have an Egyptian touch. Love the last one in particular. Diane
Amazing!
Diane, the top shot shows stuff from Verdi's 'Aïda'.
tres beaux costumes et puis surtout superbes photos avec une belle lumiere
What a magnificent venue!
I always find it difficult to photograph in some museums and at many exhibitions, but you did a wonderful job esp with the light.
This whole series of images from the Sao Carlos National Theatre has been brilliant JM, beautifully shown.
The costumes are just amazing! And I totally agree with Kate - what a wonderful job you did using the available light!

the costumes are quite grand!
The Sao Carlos National Theater is gorgeous! As are the costumes which I assume are being used or have been used in various theatrical productions.
I have enjoyed your costume posts.
Fabulous shots as usual!
Sometimes I think I'd like to be an opera singer... :-)
I agree with everyone else! This has been a wonderful series and you did an amazing job with your photographs JM.
A legendary 'Traviata' with Maria Callas and Alfredo Kraus was recorded live there!
I love what the light does to the clothes :)
Brilliant costumes, the last photo is amazing!
As with all the comments, me too! I've loved this series. The shots are beautiful, you've caught light wonderfully, and the subject is gorgeous! What a treat this exhibition is - wish I could see it in person.
These are superb.
I'm guessing those are costumes from previous presentations? How lovely they are.
