Gorgeous. The brightly painted Portuguese buildings with their railings are always so photo-worthy.
I wish some of the more run-down parts of the city would be revitalized but I suppose these are not the best of times for any nation, including tiny Portugal.
Are you being photographed by the man in the window? Love the frames around the windows and, of course, the beautiful black ironwork against the bright yellow/gold surface. And, the staples...what a sight! PS So happy that your Mother has improved!!
Beautiful building and I love the "staples"!! That is amazing that they've been there so long! I, too, hope the photographer got some good shots! Have a great weekend, JM!
Great, colorful shot! Many of the buildings in San Francisco that collapsed in the last big quake, 1989, had rotten wood on the bottom floor and they just pancaked down. Your buildings look so much more solidly built. I suspect the staples will do the trick.
Good news about your mother! It's amazing what the right treatments can accomplish!

This photo would be great even if you had not caught the photographer. I love those staples!
the architecture of this city certainly makes intresting shots, well captured again.

Thanks as always, for the beautiful photos.
une facon originale pour nous parler de la manifestation, bien vu
Great vantage point. I think the staples are nice, they add visual interest, I would have never known their purpose had you not mention it.

He must have a good view from there. I see those staples but I'm not sure I understand what they do.
it is really pretty in its design.
(glad things are better w/ your mom!)
I am curious about how the staples work.
I must have missed the news about your mother referenced in Kate's comment above. Best wishes for her, and for you.
I would have had no idea what the "staples" are. Thanks for pointing that out. Love this facade, hope the videographer got a good view!

What a luscious yellow. Love the staples!
So glad your mum has improved - she will be so happy to be home.
I love the contrast between the modern photographer and the old buildings - and a reminder that the social protests continue.
(I have not been to Lisbon in 6 years, but I wish I'd known then to look for 'staples' - hopefully next time:)
The staples can't be missed! He's got the perfect place to film!
I LOVE THE COLORS AND THE COMPOSITION AND TOUT!

The building facade is beautiful and the man at the window is such a special guess in image! Wonderful capture!

This mustard yellow color is great, as are the windows. You have beautiful architecture in your town.
Sorry to read about your mother. I hope she is resting in comfort.
Stopped by to have another look at this one. FAB
