That really is in ruins. It is a shame though. It looks like it could be a nice place. I'm surprised the last people living there left those potted plants behind.
Ouch. I knew you would have a great "rust and ruin" photo. You post photos of such beauty and then you post photos of decay. You have both in your part of Portugal.
Through your photos, JM, I see Lisbon as a sad old lady whose clothes are tattered and torn. But one day she'll have nice things again, and find a new kind of beauty.
Now that we've been to Lisbon, I can understand that the theme day on rust and ruin posed no problem! It's certainly a city with an amazing mixture of new and old.

I hope this nice house will be refurbished...
You have a whole collection of beautiful rust and ruins photos.
I bet this was a lovely place before it was left to fall apart. It's a place with character.
Nowhere is decay better than in Lisbon! I guess this place can't be too ramshackle as it appears someone lives here.
@Halcyon: No one is living here, this house is abandoned for years.
This one was too easy fir you Jose :) Still the most attractive decay!
It is way too pretty to be a ruin.
What a pity, it looks like a nice place, if it were renovated.

gosh, that's just beautiful, though!
This is what I would call a "fixer-upper". I always wonder why a building becomes abandoned. It looks like it once was a beautiful home.
Lovely and old - and still lived in!
So sad since it looks like it was once a nice home!
Great find for this theme day, José, but I agree with Grace, this one was too easy for you :-)
Both rust and ruins! Maybe I'll come across int during my forthcoming visit to Lisbon!
Great shot for the day as always, Jose! Lovely old house -- sad that it has been abandoned!! Have a great new week!!
Even in the shape it is in, this is still a lovely picture and perfect for the theme.
Looks like it was once beautiful. Now a tree grows from the eaves.
Even it is ruined and rusty, I still can imagine how beautiful it was...
There's still potential in the building, even though it's abandoned. Terrific choice.
Beautiful choice for theme day.

So old, but so very beautiful.
you always find nice decay houses :)
Location location....
Perfect for the theme day picture, but also for fashion photographing as well as making a film.
