March 10 is the anniversary of both the 1959 and 2008 uprisings in Tibet, an extremely significant date in the Tibetan calendar. Most recently Tibetans have been detained and even killed in connection to peaceful protests. Some people joined the resistance and gave a roar of support to Tibetans in Tibet yesterday in Lisbon.

Wonderful portrait of that girl, JM!
Very tender pictures.
Good luck to Tibet.

Beautiful images: I hope one day there will be a Free Tibet...
Lovely tribute JM and beautifully shown.
Your portraits are hauntingly beautiful, and the post is a sad reminder.
Lets hope for the best.
What expressive eyes she has. A beautiful child.
I'm always glad to see when people are willing to get out and protest inequality and injustice! These are superb photos, as usual. Perhaps these kinds of protestations will have an impact!
Thanks for your nice comments. I felt very sorry for you when I read about your experiences with Mexican food!
Great pics as usual JM! I don't know if there is any hope for them however.
@Lowell: Only west governments' attitude could make any impact, but Chinese money speaks louder! China's Three Gorges won the bidding for the Portugal government's 21% interest in EDP-Portuguese Energy Co with an offer of $3.5 billion.
A lovely capture of a sensitive time for the Tibetan people.
Well done
Wonderful...
I didn't expect to see photographs about Tibet on a Portuguese daily photo blog today!
Beautiful and touching photos.
Prayers for the people of Tibet. I sure would like to go there some day.
I wish all the best for them.
Many times I'm not proud of human race...
Beautiful captures, JM.
Beautiful portrait of the girl with huge, beautiful eyes. Let's hope Tibet is one day really free.
