I would have never thought the top shot was a poinsettia, the leaves look great with the drops. It will look even more amazing starting in a few weeks.
We had some poinsettia bushes at our old house and they were always in bloom at Christmas. They add a lot of color and festive feeling to the holidays. I've heard the leaves are poisonous to animals, though. At the same time, I've never know animal dumb enough to eat them. A human animal might... :-)

Hmmmm. My poinsettias always die sometime between January and May... Beautiful!
Wonderful macro of the rain drops. I also have a few macros of water drops on tropical leaves, which I will post some time in the future.
Beautiful shots JM. I love the water drops on the leaves.
Que folhagem maravilhosa, adorei os pingos, uma imagem incrível, com perfeito close up!

Agree with Birdman - both those photos are a WOW.
How pretty! It certainly is nice to have some color in the middle of winter.
I've never been able to get one to turn red again! It's a beauty.
Oh yes. This close-up is outstanding.

We call it 'Stella di Natale'...
They are a bit of weed in parts further north in this country.
I love the red and gold look.
