Downtown Oeiras used to be surrounded by old charming farms; as time goes by new buildings are taking their place and little by little those farms are gone forever.
This wall belongs to a partially abandoned farm, struggling against concret invasion, although it is almost swallen by the uncharacteristic modern buildings shown in the background.
I like the contrast of old and new. However it is sad that the farms are gone forever. I would be nice if an effort were made to restore some of the old building and to integrate them with the new.

Yes it is such a contrast and so sad but i guess progrsess is instopable. i have a road being built down beside my house where it was once bush. I makes me so angry but i guess i can't stop it can i - maybe i could tie myself to a tree????

WOW! Interesting photo and contrasts. The old is more appealing to look at but the new might be more comfortable?

nice concept!, but the old has more story to tell..
Sort of a temporary revenge then? Having the predominant stuff in the background for once. I agree with Mary, great contrasts.
