'Pangeia Instrumentos'

''Pangeia instrumentos'' shows instruments, acoustical dispositives and instalations conceived after a process of experimentation and 'intersection' with design, music and performance. Based on the evolution of musical instruments through History, the exhibition can currently be seen at Palácio Anjos (previous post) and you can play them all.

Ooh, they're gorgeous! And mostly percussion, I believe? Love that! I know a group of neo-ethnic drummers here who'd love to try those out! I wouldn't mind them as decor for our house either!

Hilda, in fact it is not percussion, you just press the horizontal metal blades(?) and they make fantastic echoes in the boxes/jars(?). The hanging ones I haven't tried, I was afraid I would throw them to the ground... lol!

How fantastic, I'd love to visit and have a go on the instruments. If I'm ever in a museum with a section on musical instruments I'm right there!(I'm a - very rusty - clarinet player myself)

Hi JM....sorry I didn't see you had already received the award. But, I have noticed that some of the others have received this award more than once. I guess it's bound to happen with so many of us enjoying one another's blogs!

If it's OK with you, I would still like to give you the award. You always have nice comments for my blog, and I do appreciate it!

How cool is that! Did you get to play the instruments?

That makes them even better! Even clumsy ol' me will be able to play them! :D

I think they're still called percussion instruments, even if they're mechanically augmented. But don't quote me on that.
