I enjoyed looking at this series of windows....they are all so beautiful and so full of character and history. But, my favorites are also the first two ~ especially the 1st one. Thanks for sharing these wonderful windows in your world!
I was already smiling when I saw the first photo in the portal, and to be gifted with five! Lovely, lovely compositions, JM! I find windows and doors fascinating too. Make that almost all architectural details! :)
I agree with some of the other commenters about the attraction of windows and doors. Humans seem to put a lot of effort into making these parts of a building attractive. I think it may have something to do with greeting people as they enter or exit. These windows are very attractive simply because they are in their original condition and have not been renovated.
Thank you for finding out the type of duck in your previous post: A Carolina Duck (aix sponsa). It is very beautiful.
I very much like your photos of old windows. Of course I love old buildings! Anyway, great photos!
It looks like Tuesday will be my last posting on Sitka Daily Photo. In these questionable economic times I feel very lucky that my business is taking off and growing. But, I know it is not going to grow on its own, so that means I need to put more time into it. Of course that means less time for leisure things like blogging and taking photos.
I’ll keep checking in on your blog from time to time, because I always enjoy your posts and photos.
Windows ,like our eyes, are the opening of our houses or our souls, and are very attractive. A nice serie . It's the last one with the double windows who made me think of Eyes!

Beautiful. I particularly love the second photograph.
Great set of photos. Windows and doors make very interesting photos.
I really like the one with the broken glasses and n.16

I like the second photo best of all, but each of these windows tells a story, doesn't it?
ces vieilles fenêtres sont tes poétiques, elles nous racontent une histoire.
these old windows are your poetry, they tell a story.

Thanks for all your kind words on my blog!
Take care,
The first shot has some of my favourite contrasts. Fresh green plants against the texture of an old wall.
You've made a great selection of contrasting windows here. I'm attracted especially to No. 16 too, but I'm sad to see the glass broken.
Great shots. Well captured.

I like windows and especially old ones very much. Great ones there.
Lovely set of charming, old windows!
the first four shots look so mediterranean but the last looks more from a northern country.
I really enjoy this European type architecture.
what a wonderful series I love it...
