We saw one of these forts at St. Augustine in Florida. They are just amazing! Love that dolphin :)

An interesting place and I love the dolphin statue in the one photo. This place reminds me of a painting I saw recently at an art show only the fortress in the painting was in Mexico.

Tanya is right, it looks a lot like the Castillo de San Marcos, a Spanish fort built in 1672 in St. Augustine, Florida. I have been there many times. These are beautiful pictures and I like the dolphin too!

I would never have guessed 17th century. Lovely shots, like the shadows in the last.

The sea forts because of their role always seem to have the best views..yes that dolphin is lovely framed against the sky.
