An old village in southern Portugal?

WRONG! Just some old spots you (gladly) can still find among the modern buildings in the center of Carcavelos, next to Oeiras, which give us an idea of what the former village must have looked like.

This combination of blue and white is superb. It creates an atmosphere of calmness. Nice to have such spots still around.

Bem interessante!

So...Nice post dear JM!
Have a wonderful weekend

The first one is so secure. I love that the blue theme is even picked up in the metal container. The second gives a great sense of the tiny passageways. The third is beautifully composed with its angles and levels. All three tell a story of the effect of time and weather on building materials and the people who used them. Terrific shots.

Wow, so different than usual. Again, my today favorite. Always love houses like them. They're not museum, aren't they? :))
Happy weekend JM.

Nice combination of white and blue, it had to look great! I love the southern countries for the whiteness of their build-up area:)

... and I guess that it is in one of these old buildings that many of us today would like to live!

There is a quaintness and a hint of former lives that seem to appeal to us. Is it because we all live such fast-paced lives. Great photos.

You can see such houses in rural areas of India.

Sublime nugget of the 'historical' beauty that once was... still is. A hidden gem!
