My Mother loved windmills; I have one in my garden. Great shot with the blue sky!

Now this is a site I'm used to seeing in rural areas of the United States! And, the sky looks great.

I'm in agreement with the others. This is a splendid marriage of metal and marvelous sky.

Portugal? It looks like it could be out on the prairie in Kansas.

I just got back from Kansas and Missouri. This looks like it could have been taken there!

Windmills make such good subjects for photographs and the clouds in the pretty blue sky set this one off perfectly.

Fantastic sky. Though I've seen windmills like this in the south of Europe, they always remind me of America!

Wonderful angle to this image, JM. And very appropriate to isolate it in the very millieu that gives it reason for being.

Clever ...

You have a way to activate those windmills of our minds. Simple and beautiful.

As the images unwind
Like the circle that you find
In the windmills of your mind

If I didn't know better, I'd figure I was looking at a windmill on a ranch in west Texas. Love the sky!

Hi JM, I knew my windmill on Sweet Wayfaring was coming up that's why I was so fascinated to see yours. You keep saying that parts of Portugal are like Australia ... I'd really love to go see it some day. Judging from the comments this type of windmill is prevelant in parts of the US too ... interesting.
