Oeiras 1st coat of arms

Marquis of Pombal, also the 1st Count of Oeiras, was the founder of the city. His coat of arms can be seen in many buildings, this one stands on the City Hall manor.

Gorgeous! Do you know what the symbols represent? I've always found coats of arms fascinating.

soltarnos, ke difícil es. Pero a veces vale la pena. Aunque en vez de soltarme prefiero lanzarme.

Any idea about the size of this?

Strength and elegance pretty much sums it up. Leaving space for artwork means leaving something for those who come after us. Every society should.
