Incredible! Unless the perspective is fooling me, they kept only the white façade and built a massive glass office building to stick out of its thin shell.

Well, this kind of compromise is I guess better than just to replace with our present "glass boxes". I suppose that only the walls remain.

That is some contrast to contemplate. Makes me wonder if the recent architecture is robust enough to withstand any future seismic activity. Hopefully Mother Nature won't do any such testing and we'll never find out.
