A striking building with superb lines. It seems unfortunate that when it was renovated they couldn't have kept it as a theater. I can imagine the hotel is very nice, though.
I agree with Jacob. Wiping out the interior sounds unfortunate. Over here they would probably not have been allowed to do this. Important buildings become earmarked as part of the cultural heritage and from that point on any simple renovation will be an exercise in bureaucracy to get all the permits.

Stunning building, beautifully photographed. A lot newer than what you usually post but right up there with it's neighbours in decoration.
