Oh how I do love Art Deco and this is a wonderful example. Just Fantastic.
A beautiful theatre but I'm not sure about the hotel.
Yes, I love art-deco too and this is a magnificent example, Jose. I also like the lamps ... Check out the photograph that Michael from Melbourne has posted this evening. You will love it!
You're photo is also AWESOME!!!(hehehehehehe)Have an Excellent Tuesday, my Friend!!
What a gorgeous building. Even the glass detail on the roof is stunning. I bet it's a beautiful hotel.
sooooooooo BIG building ^___^I love it :)
Oh-so-Deco! Love it.
Eden is right!
It must run in the family because art deco is my favorite too. This one is a wonderful example of the style.
A very grand theatre.Have you heard anymore from your friend in Tehran.
A striking building with superb lines. It seems unfortunate that when it was renovated they couldn't have kept it as a theater. I can imagine the hotel is very nice, though.
Sad about the interiors, but at least they saved the facade. I like those lamp posts!
Hi JM,Fabolous building. It doesn't make me think of cinema - more like grand café or exclusive shop. What is the building material? Sand stone? - It really is Art Deco.....Best regardsAsta
I agree with Jacob. Wiping out the interior sounds unfortunate. Over here they would probably not have been allowed to do this. Important buildings become earmarked as part of the cultural heritage and from that point on any simple renovation will be an exercise in bureaucracy to get all the permits.
Wonderful and interesting building!
What a building! Glad it wasn't totally lost.
Stunning building, beautifully photographed. A lot newer than what you usually post but right up there with it's neighbours in decoration.
Beautiful structure indeed. I would love to see more of this building.TV Tower on Sinhagad - Going Inside Clouds
A very classic building.
Wow, great perspective, I love it!!
