All beaches along the portuguese (atlantic) coast are sandy. That's why some mediterranean beaches have just crossed my mind when I found this pebble area.

Love the color of the water. The beaches here on the bays and Sound (all saltwater)are rocky or pebbly, but closer to the Pacific Ocean on at the Ocean they are sandy. There must be a reason for that. MB

This makes a beautiful abstract with its horizontal bands of texture and color.
It's beautiful, but I imagine harder to walk on than sand. I would need some beach shoes!

Pebbles are painful but right about now I would even walk over hot coals to get into that ocean.
Our beaches have sand too, and I bet I would probably wear sandals all time when going to pebble areas.

Sand is easier on the toes but this photo is easy on the eyes!

I had never seen a pebbled beach until we visited some in England. Sandy beaches are so much nicer but your shot is nice nonetheless.
