Old building

Actually, according to the Art Nouveau lines of the railings, this building is not that old compared to all the others around, which have been built in Lisbon downtown after the big eartquake in 1755. (Click to enlarge)

Lisbon has some of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen. And thanks to you and your fantastic photographic ability, I have now seen quite a few.
Thanks for the journey, JM.

What a great angle! That building is so beautiful and ornate. I like how you included the street lamp in the picture JM.

What a wonderful perspective. It shows the details to perfection at the same time as making a fascinating well balanced photo. I envy your ability to do city buildings so well.

Lois took the words right out of my mouth. I love the way you've composed this with the street lamp sort of floating in the foreground.

This is a fascinating shot for several reasons: it's a beautiful building; what looks to be a lamplight cover in the upper right; and the strange appendages poking out of some of the windows - air conditioners.

Nobody should have to go without a/c but those units do mess up the overall beauty of the building.

Another very fine composition, JM!

They wouldnt make a building with all of that detail now days. Of course the window air conditioner units give it a modern touch.

I think we still have a few art nouveau buildings in Manila, but nothing this elaborate! Fantastic!
