This is a great view. Th sun is coming from the right, and based on the shadows on the building my guess is that this hotel is facing south rather than west.
I was interested in your comment on our Viva la Voyage site today about the similarities between some of the buildings in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay, and villages in Portugal. My first reaction when you started to use the photo that you currently are using in the masthead of this site was that it looks like Colonia.
There is a Portuguese Museum in Colonia with items remaining from the century that it was a Portuguese settlement (after its founding in 1680). We will be posting another series of photos from Colonia and I think the buildings will further remind you of old buildings in Portugal.

That little path between the vegetation leads us right out to sea.
What an interesting and modern building with a very extraordinary view.
I would love to stay there!! What a view!

looks like a great weekend place to visit and hike around or just sit with a glass of wine and watch the boats go by.
The setting is just drop dead gorgeous but I'm not sure about the hotel. The thing on top looks like a giant air conditioning unit. Maybe it is! :)

Its a wonderful place to relaxxxx.......
;)
Looks like the coastline is being rapidly developed! Hope it doesn't end like the Costa Brava. Nice hotel, though.
I looked up the web to learn more about this hotel ... I see it's very swish and has a great location.
Okay, what's the reservations number? I want to stay there...for, oh, a year or two!
Sheesh, that's gorgeous!
Fantastic photo, JM!
Beautiful shot!
Sigh. So lovely!
A private little cove for this hotel!
Oh yes, i would love to be there watching all the ships going by. Super shot. MB
I checked: a Superior Seaview for two adults in October is 247 Euro, not much if you think about the location and the view!
Makes me want to book a room !
Any fishing off those rocks?
