This is just so beautiful. Such a contrast between what is contained in the oval and the ornamentation outside it. Thank you for showing us this work of art, JM.
Beautiful tile work. The tile work you have shown us in a variety of places is all so gorgeous. It makes me think that this is an art that should be revived.

Marvelous detail and depth perception.
Very pious.
JM, it's a close up of a desiccated papaya trunk (same as image 8).

Lovely colours and detail. I wonder who the artist might have been...
Particularly beautiful!
Who is the saint? Antonio?
Absolutely beautiful. It's not easy to see azulejos with othere colors added. Is this a matter of choice or of date?
Wow! Does it represent anything related to the city, or is it just a decoration?
The tile work over there is always fine and interesting... Beautiful header photo too!
God bless you!

Such beautiful and colorful intricacy! I'm trying to figure out the religious significance...
The detail is just lovely to behold.

A lovely work of art indeed. Such a simple inset set off by the intricate scroll work around it.
Beautiful work. Reminds me of a room in a local castle I visited earlier this summer.
The scene in the middle is intriguing. What are the two figures looking at on the ground? It looks to me a bit like frog.
