I love photographing the varities of these earthy beauties. We even get a few in the desert. I haven't seen any this year. It was way too dry during our monsoon season to produce any mushrooms.
Slightly cooler here now, but after few days of rain I have seen some in city parks. Not a fan of mushrooms, but I like this nice composition. Do you know the name of these and if they are edible?
Magic mushrooms? God bless you! Cezar P.S.: are you still having 30 C? Here we're almost at 0 C... By the way, the fountain is indeed on the library's wall.
It gives me immense satisfaction to know that there are spores just waiting for the right conditions to grow into mushrooms. Same with cicadas. They have immense genetic patience. The delicacy and variety of shape of mushrooms just blows me away!
Edible? We've had soooo much rain we've had lots of varieties around here. I even did a post on them myself a few weeks ago. I had a mushroom "expert" in France trying to figure out what they were but he didn't have much luck. V
I have to say I know absolutely nothing about mushrooms and as B SQUARED has stated, mine are also confined to store bought! :-) By the way, I looked for these today and there is not a single trace, they haven't survived this heat. As temperature will reach more than 30ºC tomorrow, I'm sure I will not find any until the next rains.
One of the things I eagerly await in Autumn is the rain to bring out the mushrooms ... there are such a variety of them ... and likewise I don't eat them from the wild I just try for good photos.

bientôt une bonne omelette aux cèpes....Hummmm
Aren't they extraordinary? There is such variety. We could spend a whole year photographing mushrooms.
I hope they are edible. I confine my mushrooms to store bought.
Fantastic and neat shot !! Great one !! Thanks for sharing..Unseen Rajasthan

The mushroom looks
very delicious.
Don't we have any problem even if
we eat the mushroom?
o((=゚ェ^=))o''??
A sign of the season.
Hope they are not poisonous.
I'm always surprised at how quickly they grow. They make a pretty picture.

Beautiful! I noticed some this morning around here.
I wish it was 30C here! I never picked up mushrooms in my life.
I have a thing for fungus too..I like how you can enlarge these. Your header is fantastic. Anyway, have a great day-

Sounds odd to my ears. Mushrooms and heat waves are mutually exclusive over here. At the moment we have:
* 0 heat waves
* lots of mushrooms

To eat or not to eat! Voila le question!

It must be autumn - despite the heat :-)
