Henry Moore's sculpture at the CCB gardens. In the background: 25th of April Bridge and the Monument to the Dicoveries (check this post to see some details). Click on both pics for a better view.
Legal que você colocou o link para a foto do lugar como um todo! Linda escultura, parece um homem e um animal, ou minha imaginaçao...o coraçao ve coisas além! Léia
I was distracted from this by the link to the post about the Monument to the Discoveries. Loving the sea and its history, one can't ignore the part of this great man that was Henry the Navigator... I like the Moore sculptures, but they mean not much when you can see in background that, maybe old fashioned, procession of great men. And a woman. Your new header is absolutely great!
I love the way you caught each angle (heroes at sunset)..really nice against the blue, both sky and ocean. Your header is dreamy too with the lily pads as well as the stunning reflective scene- Have a great day-
Well, maybe it's just me, but I don't get this one at all.
And I agree with VP...I almost jumped in my chair when I saw in the background the Monument to the Discoveries...I taught C. Colombus in school for years and always marveled at this monument as pictured in the textbooks.
This is rather like seeing it in person - or, I guess in your person.

An interesting sculpture that gets to reside in a beautiful garden with a wonderful view! I love the new header photo too!
An arch leg! Well! That's a refreshingly artistic arch after the ancient basalt ones I've been seeing in Tiberias for the past weeks.
And it is great to see how and where the Discoveries Monument stands. I really love that one.
Your pictures make me want a vacation there! Especially love the new header photo! Have a great day JM!

Very nice setting and view. You even got the moon into the picture. It was interesting to see the Discoveries Monument from that distance.
Oeiras has such an inviting waterfront, JM.
Your new banner is fantastic :)
Its a perfect reflection shot.
The sculpture are beautiful art :-)
Simple and effective contrast with the dark sculpture and the white bridge.
Well done.

Those sculptures are beautiful against the clean (less ornate than usual) lines of the modern building. And yes the header is fab.

Thanks!
What an interesting sculpture and the background is just as interesting. Thanks. MB
I like your new banner
Henry Moore is easy to recognise ... and with pleasure!
Very cool and understated. Clean lines and no fuss. Fascinating history surround the Monument. Thanks for the explanation:-)
