Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

The Beatles at the entrance of  MUDE, the Design and Fashion Museum, currently housing the It's Forbidden to Forbid exhibition, the coolest and craziest exhibit in Lisbon at the moment - an amazing display of 60s and 70s international items very much under a 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' atmosphere (shame photos are not allowed inside). The Augusta Street Arch stands in the background.

Help, I need somebody,
Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone, help.

When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never needed anybody's help in any way.....

Cooooool post :-)
I was just a little girl but they are STARS !!

Those are really BIG Beatles.
Aww, I miss them.
I'm happy to see your cities in whatever light/weather they have.

The Beatles were giants and you've captured that beautifully in these two shots. Lisbon is on my to-go-to list, thanks to you (and my daughter, who had a wonderful visit there last year).

This must be a fun exhibit. I bet it would bring back many memories if I could see it.

Funky! I especially like the contrast in the first photo.

And if the poster is any indication what the exhibit's like, it must have been tremendous fun!

What a hit..the top one is so neat. This is quite a trip down memory lane and that particular album just stands out. Must be a fantastic museum. We have an expression here "stuck on a rock"...well that's the feeling you get when you see something like this after being on an Island for so long. Nice one JM-

Wow I would love to go see that! It's too bad they don't allow pictures.

This exhibition may be the coolest but even one of the most interesting around. Great idea and, if I have to judge from the outside, perfectly organized. Try to find something more for us!
By the way excellent photos...

Great as usual, I like the recent and old in the first shot of PmcC. It's a Beatles year, isn't it? ;-)

Very cool. Sounds like a cool exhibit. I like the shot with Paul in front of the arch. Nice one!

It is a slightly interesting scene.

However, the triumphal arch behind them is wonderful.
Furthermore, I feel like wanting to watch the monument in the back by all means.

Thank you.

Do people respect the "no photo" rule? I've come across all sorts of approaches in museums. From strictly forbidden through forbidden-but-we-don't-care-if-you-do to yes-please-do-take-a-photo-everyone-else-does.

Don't you hate when you aren't allowed to take pictures! The Beatles look so cool and colorful and I like the way you highlighted Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds :) Love that clock in the first photo!

We'd have loved to see more pictures but what you have given us is good taste of the show ... it sounds like a lot of fun.

They look like huge cardboard cutouts. I wouldnt mind having those for my game room.

I agree...that's pretty cool. And the pictures are great in spite of the light!

Fun and colorful "statutes" of the Beetles! Didn't you pose with one of them?!
