An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale shook Portugal for 8 seconds at 1.37am. It was quite scary! Fortunately the epicenter was located in the Atlantic Ocean 100kms off the coast.

6.0 that is quite a strong quake---good thing it was way under the ocean. We have them out here too.

What are the red squares around the tree? Whatever they are, they add color to the shot.

An earthquake?! Oh no! Portugal has had enough of those. It would be so sad to see any of the beautiful things you show us shaken apart.

The red cushions are usually there for people to sit on this patio and enjoy the sun while reading a book or so, but a group of school children was playing with them and have positioned them that way (you can even see two of their backpacks near them).
I actually like Dubuffet and I REALLY like the angle you chose to show old and new.

That looks warm and inviting, especially compared to here. And Paris at the moment.
The earthquake must have been frightening. The worst earthquakes in US history were in this part of the country, not California, in 1811- 1812.

Glad to hear you're ok, earthquakes are quite scary. I'd love to see the monastery but also like the contemporary in front of it.
