Children's Park has turned green

Downtown Oeiras Park
(I have no idea what the ground is made of but the material seems to be some kind of cork or rubber mix. The thing is its dark brown colour became green once it's covered with moss due to winter rains and the lack of use now.)

c'est une moquette ? bizarre ce quadrillage, mais cela donne une belle couleur avec cette lumiere

Is that moss or finely cut grass? It looks very inviting! :)

Photography can sometimes take the looker back to their childhood. Not a bad thing, really. JM, I want to wish you a very happy new year.

They did a good job on that park. It would be a fun place to take the grandchildren.

Well, actually, I have no idea what the ground is made of but the material seems to be some kind of cork or rubber mix. The thing is its dark brown colour became green as it's covered with moss due to the winter moist and the lack of use now.

Is it slippery?

Moss?! No kidding! I doubt if that possibility was in the planning. Wouldn't it be slippery when wet? (Sorry, we don't know much about moss here in Israel, where the next few days will see 23 degrees.)

And this in full winter... Very nice catch!

That's interesting. Here that soft stuff they put down for kids is a horrid lurid green right at the start. This looks much nicer.

Be careful when you want to play there !!

It looks good in the photo, probably because the moss is natural.

It looks like a sea of green. What a great idea that the colour changes friom brown to green. Nice spot for children and adults.
Cheers.

I find this stuff that they put under playgrounds to soften the fall, very offputting to walk on. I have problems with my eyes and not being able to focus when moving and the squishyness only makes it worse. I would image the slipperyness of the moss would make all this doubly so.

It does look like a moss carpet. Great lighting on this one.

Beautiful photo, but I hope they scrape it before the children play.

JM!

Green is my MOST favorite color and I love plants, so this picture made me gasp!

Oh, I love it!!

I so want a walkway made out of pillowy, verdant moss now!
