An old fountain on a much older wall

I haven't got any information about this fountain, but the wall is the remnant of a castle built in the 14th century at the Cascais Bay.

That is a gorgeous fountain. But I can't imagine anything as old as the 14th century ... well, except for my fifth-grade English teacher!

Beautiful photo as usual, JM.

I'm back, part-time at least, and am looking forward to another year of your impressive photography!

Have a wonderful, joy-filled new year and may all your dreams come true!

Does the fountain still work?

Even looking just at the wall gives the feeling of weathered age and history.

It's an interesting looking fountain. I like the face at the top, but the one at the bottom looks a little menacing!

A very romantic old fountain on its crumbling wall, and in a castle, too! Very enjoyable photo.

I like this type of fountain, they look so fitting in your environment. Here, they look so faux.

I like fountains like this, very elaborate and quite romantic. Very suited to old buildings and especially castles.
Cheers.

It would be hard to drink or get water from it with everything glaring down at you while you do so.

A beautiful fountain on a not so nice wall, this is something familiar.
