Foam party anyone?

Incredible amount of sea foam stuck in a small bay at Carcavelos Beach. It looks like a gigantic jelly pudding shaking in the wind.

It looks like someone dumped a lot of detergent in a giant washing machine.

Wow at first glance I thought it was snow

Coca Cutie,
This is a storm consequence due to all the sediments rivers have thrown into the sea.

I thought it was snow at first. A good surprise. Love your description of the foam.

That photo should be in the newspapers.
Wow, so strange and wonderful.
Sea foam, eh? That sounds nice.

That is a lot of sea foam! I don't think I've ever seen that much before in one place.

It just looks so strange to me. I wonder what causes it to build up and stay like that. I'm so glad you shared this picture.

Wow, that's a lot of sea foam! Enlarged, it looks curdled or like it hasn't really broken up or what have you? Wonder what brought that on? You must of been a bit surprised JM-

I have never seen something like this if not for some sort of industrial spill. It even looks very soft and nice...

I always wonder if it isn't at least partly due to water pollution. I remember driving through foam like that once on the coast of Brittany (Bretagne).

Is that what they're referring when they speak of foaming at the mouth (of the bay)? ;-)

Quite unique and a beautiful shot.

Very frothy day at the beach.

I don't know much about the sea and I'm sure I've never seen sea foam like this. Thanks for the info about your other shot. All of this chaos is such a contrast to the still beauty of your current banner.

That looks amazing. I don't think I'll like to jump into it, I rather admire it from outside its boundary. I've never seen something like this before.

Incredible. Is this normal or to do with your unusual weather?

I find that foam stuff icky. I hope it blows back out to sea. MB

Yuck, kind of gross looking, JM!

Does the foam just sort of evaporate over time?
