Oh boy, this reminds me of the house we just sold...we had an arbor over a gate and vines very similar to these...they just took over and grew to monstrous proportions...and you couldn't get rid of them...they were impossible...and I'm glad I don't have to deal with them anymore. They were pretty, though, in the summertime.
Oh wow..I actually thought it was a snake at first! Looks like it's got a choke hold (lol) The tile looks like 60's..but this is an older neighborhood? Interesting..never seen one like that around here!
Like many others, I thought it was a snake and wondered where on earth you were taking photos. Nature is often very tenacious and this "plant" certainly is determined!

I was afraid it would turn out to be a snake.
But as hugging trees, that is really cool!
That last picture is really huggy cute.
Must be a Wisteria to grow so huge. MB
Looks like many of our large snakes. I'm glad it's not.
At first I thought that top one was a snake. Interesting how all those trees have worked their way around those columns.
That is so strange to see. I like that the pillers and walkway have been tiled. What a great find!

I hope these aren't deadly hugs for these nice columns. Just this afternoon I photographed something like this, but in very minor scale.
This is some place....love all the mosaic against the twisting textures...it's amazing how trees adapt.
Wow, never seen this before. Looks like snakes:-)

Honestly speaking,
I'm sorry to refuse these hugs.
(^▽^;)
Which came first, the trees or the poles?!
Now that is in interesting title for this post ... those vines have grown very thick and snake like.
Like the tiles on the columns and the walkway. There's a certain lushness that exudes from the photo.
HEHE
Looks like snakes and looks also romantic :-)
Never seen before !!
wow this is a really big huggig !!!
At first I thought it was a snake brrr..
This time not tile but plant is my favourite:)
More like a death grip! ;)
Are they vines or trees? Whatever they are, they're fantastic! And I love the fact that even the posts are tiled!
Unbelievable! I supposed eventually the columns will be hugged to death.
Has to be the 60s for the trees to grow like that. Some hugs - in 10 years the whole thing will collapse. So interesting.
