I had a bug very similar to this one in the mid-60s...only mine was green. Had to get rid of it, though, as it did not have a heater and we lived in cold, cold, Illinois!

Just can't get away from graffiti anywhere in the world, I guess! A shame!

I kind of like the characters on the wall.

Seeing the photo, it looked like the characters in graffity had got out from the beetle.

I prefer the VW to the graffiti! I had a red one with a roof top in the '60's and love it. Drove it 'til the floor boards rusted out, and one door had to be roped shut because it didn't work. Cold in Minnesota, but I didn't care. Wouldn't drive one now 'cuz there are too many big cars and SUV's around...too dangerous to be so little!

What a fun foto! A cute blue BUG in front of funny graffiti! BTW, how do you get the "Networked Blogs" with Facebook on your blog sidebar and link it, etc? etc?

I've always thought it would be fun to have one of these VW's and that is a perfect color. The cartoon on the wall just makes this shot that much better.

Nice capture of tones, light and contrasts. I like the blue against the architecture...

Once in a while some funny graffiti, not much easy to find here. The Beetle is amazing if you think that its line is almost seventy year old!

Nice beetle! Seems to be in good shape! A beetle is tough and not comfortable, but can get you anywhere!
God bless you!

Such a sweet powder blue! A shame about the graffiti though.

I love both the car AND the guys on the wall. Fun I think.

I drove a similar blue colored bug my last year in college. It later broke down 300 miles from home.
The graffiti characters seemed to go with this VW. Another car parked there wouldn't have the same effect for me. :)
Great catch!

That car is almost as old as the building - great photo.
