Bica Funicular (1892), Lisbon
Mirrrored funicular by Alexandre Farto, a talented guy who started as a graffiter at the age of thirteen. It's his contribution to 'Art in Motion', a project consisting of decorating the emblematic funiculars in the city.

Fantastic, JM...and I suppose this is the closest we're going to get to a self-portrait?
I love this! I like how the scene continues in the elevator (the stairs reflected), your framing, the tiles on the wall, the yellow flags, and the elevator itself is great.
And, sorry if my comment didn't make sense on your photo yesterday. I thought you (and others) were talking about the face, not the bank signs. I'm sorry, the face did not appeal to me and that's what I was commenting about.
I love the reflections and I really love the tram.
Very cool. It looks so natural. I vote for all trams to be faced in stainless steel tiles. BTW, perfect for Weekend Reflections.
I think I like this better than I would yellow..I just saw a castle someone posted in Florida ..check out this link (if you have some time)

Now I just visited the Imiloa Austronomy Center of Hawaii (same color theme which washed out my picture? But the link is about another artist though.
tres beau reflet de l'escalier
Wow!!
Looks so unique that tram :)))
Many reflections ....
wow , great shot !
Well, I thought it seemed strange to have such a shiny tram car. I really like it!
I remember this in yellow, this is so different and quite original. Better than more graffiti!
Now I'm curious about the other three elevators...
i love the first one, congratulation!
Nice blue coat :-)))
I like the cheerful yellow flags at the tram's forehead.
It looks great and your shots make it so.
That's not an elevator, that's a tram and you just gotta love it.
Both photos are different and unique! Have a good week-end!
This reflection picture is outstanding, and your picture is beautiful!
Léia :)
What a beautiful picture JM! I agree it would make a good Weekend Reflections post.
Fabulous!! gives it a modern make over!!
The reflections of the street below and the stairs are wonderful.
Can you send this guy here?!!!
This is quite stunning! The fellow is a talented artist. But your photograph really does it justice. Great job, Jose!
This is wonderful.
JM, I did indeed remember your prior comments about your experience with the white-faced Capuchin monkeys when I loaded my photo yesterday, about which you commented, and I had also loaded a follow up photo today that included a link to your photo of the monkeys on the beach during your trip to Costa Rica.
This is a wonderful find and I love the reflection shot.
This is wonderful! What an amazing find and reflections galore! I think I will look at it again, now...love it!
This was extremely interesting - well done by both artist and photographer.
Absolutely sunning!
Wow JM, the reflection is fabulous, the tram is absolutely gorgeous like that!
Wonderful tram and what a great reflections!
WOW. Very different and unique shots. I love this!!
Wow. I love this image. Amazing. So shiny!
Beautiful captures, very creative!
I like this effect. Also I think more creative than just yellow trams. Some people are so clever. MB
What a story! Love this idea.
Distortions, yeah, you have some serious wrinkles in your pants. :)
Has Xibit pimped this tram? :-D It looks very weird and very cool! :-)
So shiny and clean looking!

It is great and a good choice, shiny and interesting too.
Love the details in this reflection.
It is as though we can see straight through the tram to the streetscape behind, Jose. What a good eye this young man has, and to start at the age of 13 he must have an innate talent.
