I thought your photo yesterday was on theme. There is clearly no shortage of statutes in your city. I was thinking about statues in mine for weeks and there are not a lot.

Hmmm, I wonder what that fellow on the left is pondering so intently.

An interesting angled shot here. I wonder too, Kitty!

Are they working as guard for this place, like our Giant do?

Yes, it seems as though European countries have a plethora of great statues from which to choose. The angle of the photo enables us to see both at one. Good job!

They sure don't make buildings like this any more.

Beautiful statues and details! Is that a ram's head the guy on the left is wearing?

They are the gaurdians I suppose.

I forgot all about theme day. It is the first of May. MB

I wonder if anyone has pondered what that one statue is pondering and walked right smack dab into a closed door! Seeing as how this is the Attorney General's office, such a think could cause a legal re-tort. Heh, heh.

Hope you have a great weekend.

great angle and image. such a timeless photo that we all wish we had locally, but as you know we have nothing like that image in Arizona. our country is only 200 years old. I love these types of statue. I hope all is well. i have been too busy lately and am missing my tour of everyone's photo blogs so am taking time today to stop the rest of the world and enjoy everyone's amazing talent.

What a great entrance into a building, and such concentration on the guy on the left!

No problem finding a lovely stature for you, eh?
Excellent.

An entrance like this communicates that there is something grand going on inside.

Wonderful JM!

Are these two statues from mythology?

The figure on the left is wearing a lion's head much like Hercules did.

Hmmm....

Very, very cool!

If I ever become rich THAT will be what my entrance looks like!!

All about this picture is remarkable! The statues, the coat of arms, the doors, the building itself...

Great and imposing, but I was distracted by the beautiful woodwork of the front door!

I like the angle of this shot JM. The one on the left certainly does have a stern expression!
