Vestige of a Monarchy

Portuguese crown and shield at the Cascais Bay
As to the buildings in the background, formerly private houses, are now small hotels although the black roofed one is for navy officers only.

Looks like a moody day. This image has a feeling of expectation. As if anything might happen next.

I guess the view must be great.

Great, huge houses. I wonder what the insides looked like as private homes. Nifty. MB

Too bad I don't know any navy officers

Wonderful houses. I like the idea of a Navy officers only hotel, and I am not a Navy officer...

A black roof with style. I wouldn't mind having a movie begin right here.

Okay, what's the cost per night at the one not for only naval officers? Never mind, I couldn't afford it anyway!

It's too beautiful, too perfect, and I'd probably die looking at the view.

Scrumptious!

Not quite as grand as I expected when I saw Monarchy in the title.

Joan Elizabeth, the 'pole' with the crown is all that has to do with monarchy, the buildings were just family private houses. Sorry if I didn't make it clear...
