Santo António Church at Estoril
It was destroyed by the earthquake in 1755 and rebuilt three years later.
(I don't know what's a screen (and speakers) doing there... Maybe it has something to do with the broadcasting of the Pope recent visit, so I hope it's temporary!)

Fantastic entranceway.
Beautiful views in your photos.
But yes, the screen and speakers look a bit out of place. :)
I do hope they take the screen down too.
What a wonderful tableau in blue. And the second shot is just simply beautiful. MB
What a beautiful place.
Lindissima entrada, amei os azulejos!
Fico tão feliz que conseguiram reconstruir a Igreja, ela é maravilhosa!

j'aime beaucoup la composition de la 2eme photo
The tiled entrance is so different to my eyes. The windows to the world outside are beautiful.
A lovely entrance. I haven't stopped telling people how beautiful I found Portugal to be - both the people and the place!
Sorry for my absence - as I was back home in Manila for two weeks.
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again. Have a great start to your week!
mais uma vez, azulejos portugueses espetaculares... queria uns para colocar na minha casa...
Beautiful tile work! I hope you are right about the screen. That doesn't look like a good place for it. I also like that gated entrance.
It's beautiful! I do hope the screen is temporary. It's a shame to cover any part of that beautiful wall!
What a beautiful church, JM! And your photos are marvelous as always! Enjoy your week!

Very interesting building, but the screen is certainly an anomaly! Great photos, as usual!
What a soft color of azulejos, I really hope that screen is temporary. Here, even with the gate closed, it wouldn't last a night...
I like that cross out front and the blue tile. For some reason I'm picturing it near the ocean, is this true?
You can follow the Mass and enjoy the breeze in what seems to be a beautiful place!!
An entry way like that will put you in a spiritual state of mind just walking in. Lovely!
@T.Becque: Yes, it's true! You can almost see the ocean in the background (left) of the photo.
Marvellous tiles! Hope that the screen won't stay there long!
Papal visits are bound to leave some tracks. In this case, maybe only temporarily so.
Screen and the fantastic tiles' picture go very well together, the model of life in places with history.
