Neo-Arabic building (19th century) in Lisbon
It seems Scheherazade is gone for good! :-)

That's a gem of a building - such wonderful architecture! I just hope it gets rescued in time!

You certainly have some varied styles of architecture in your area.

Goodness it looks hardly decayed to me.

It doesn't look too bad to me, and I hope that someone comes along to spruce it up. The details on the roof and facade are definitely worth saving and preserving.

This is really worth saving. I hope it gets the help it needs before it's too late! It's so unique!

A really ornate building with a fancy style.

I could imagine hundreds of ways of restoring this and making it a venue. Then again, I would also love to find appropriate curtains for those wonderfully ornate windows. Shame.

The term, "neo-Arabic," sounds funny and strange to me...but this sure does look "Arabic." Too bad it has not been kept up very well. Excellent photo, JM.

Re your comment on Paree: Yes, it was a very long wait and Lois had sprained her ankle that morning running for the batobus. I don't climb stairs (hah!) but she did...it took so long I really was worried about her, but she limped up and down and around town some more before we headed to the batobus back to our hotel.

So beautiful. I'm very impressed with this. What is this building used for?

That's really pretty. It's just different from many of the structures I've seen in Portugal.

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come visit again.

I'm beginning to worry about the state of your city with all the decay you're showing us :) Despite the decay, it's beautiful.
