I love this... yet wonder why we are attracted to things distressed, antiqued, verdigrised, peeling, faded... the romance of the past?

The boat looks heavy. Heavy wood, heavy memories.
Great picture.

While the decay is indeed sad, this is a great image. Well done.

Sad but beautiful and very photogenic. There's even a broom there...

I'd call it delicious decay because it makes such lovely photos.

One of your most picturesque decay-themed images, love the soft colors and the healthy ivy in background.

Decay, yes. But attractive decay. I'm glad you found it.

Very attractive - strange that peeling paintwork can be so compelling, but it is.

Sad, but it does make a lovely photo.

My imagination is always piqued when I see the title of our post if decay. The subject matter of this one is so unexpected and so beautiful, I reckon it is your best one yet.

Super shot. What a find. It certaintly is deteriorating at a fast pace. MB

I love all the texture in this photograph... peeling paint, weathered wood & rust...

JM, this is a fab photo and I love it when you take us off the beaten path for a little treasure like this! The colors are so rich and the worn out broom under the boat has great detail.
