Fantastic some photos of the Alentejo you have so often told me about!! Thanks the top image is wonderful and very like the country I am about to take you though in SW but here the sand is red. I notice you managed to fit in some sea too :-)

Both photos are great but the second is wonderful because it shows the geology of the area.

Welcome back JM! Hope you enjoyed yourself. It's almost shocking to look at the top photo as it could have been taken around here about 20 miles outside of Tucson. Of course the bottom photo would be several hundred miles from Tucson! Beautiful landscapes.

You're right JM. That first shot looks so much like the Chaparral found inland right here in southern California! And the second shot makes me want to spread my wings and fly. I'm amazed at how clear the water is from so high above. Both shots are absolutely gorgeous!
