I think this is very neat. Every year we have the whale watching boats out on the Straits. very cool. I have seen Grey Whales but never the Orcas which are at home here seasonly. MB
How wonderful that the whale was color-coordinated with the incredible shades of blue in the sea and sky! I am sorry that he/she has been "tagged" but it does not destroy the massive presence of this sculpture. Nice photo!

Do you have real whales in the sea near you?
Now that's something you don't see everyday.
@Joan Elizabeth: I've never seen one here... For some real good whale watching you go to the Azores Archipelago.

This must be a true landmark for the boats at sea!
Too bad it has all those tags on it. Even if there aren't whales, I think it's a nice addition to the area.

Very cool Sculpture. Too bad people feel the need to graffiti!
That's the first graffitied whale tail I've ever seen!
Acutally, I would say half of whale - nice, nice:)
Mmm, reminds me too much of the man who put a shark on his house roof! Google 'shark - house' and you'll see it.
Now I understand what a beached whale is...
Linda composiçao com o azul deslumbrante do mar, o veleiro e a escultura!
Maravilhosa fotografia!

Oh, even a whale does not escape the graffiti...
wow impressive , i remember when i saw my first whale , magic!
No splash, just a ripple? Great colour and framing.
Every once in awhile we get beached whales here...in fact, the last one could not be saved, which is so sad.
I really like this "sculpture." Can't believe it's got graffiti on it...is nothing off limits to these low-lifes?
Great artwork.
Oh dear, I flipped out over this one! Sorry JM, I couldn't help myself. Great piece of art!

That is awesome. Can't believe someone would put graffiti on something so wonderful.
I like the idea of a sea promenade. I was thinking the same, even a whale can't escape grafitti!
It must have cause a minor earthquake when it landed
