What a fancy window! Hopefully someone will come along and restore this gorgeous piece of architectural history. It does make for a most marvelous image in its current state.
Decay or not, it makes for a lovely photo...look at all those cracks in the plaster. Must be quite old - but it is still standing and it has a certain grandeur that the ravages of time cannot erase.

Ah que pena estar nesse estado de abandono, a janela e façada tem lindos detalhes!

I love this image. Once a beautiful place, I bet.
These mesmerizing "decays" are worth to be collected in one book and printed. Hope to see more.
Breaks my heart! She was a grand dame in her day!
Beautiful. I love that golden yellow.
Old, but still soooo much beauty!:)
- Have a nice weekend!
It makes a beautiful photograph!
This is hauntingly beautiful, JM. I agree with Irina that a collection of these would make an exquisite book.

This is truly beautiful, the ornate work and age. Lovely.
Such a beauty in decay! Shame!

That is marvelous. It is disturbing that it has been ignored and now is so degraded, but it does make for a powerful image.
Beautiful window with ivy invasion. His unkempt gives more beauty to the picture, as it adds a poetic tone.
Gosh that's just gorgeous detail! The windows almost look painted on the building.
Ouch. It hurts to see that dilapidated shutter lopsided behind the window.
That is some beautiful decay that I could surely live with.
I have read about Alfama--Old Lisbon. Such beauty there and now as you say decay. You should make a whole book of photos as someone suggested. MB
Wow! «Louis» would love to be able to restore this splendid old building. It's too bad it is decaying.
Let's hope the owners will bring this faded beauty back to its original appearance. So sad to see old buildings jsut left to weather away.
