NATO Joint Command at Oeiras
About 5.000 people gather in Lisbon for the NATO Summit starting today. More than fourty presidents and chiefs of state are present. A mega security operation is taking place which has turned the city into chaos and millions are being spent with this event. Don't they know Skype exists? :-)

Maybe they don't !!!!
With internet, communications are so easy; the millions of dollars could have well spent somewhere to help the poor !!! Politicians all the same ...
Hey - bet you can't get a photo of any of those presidents or prime ministers in Lisbon.... dare ya! Challenge you! Good luck!
Amazing!! And apparently they don't!! What a waste!

Laughed out loud at your Skype comment.
Good sky shot.
Ah, but you don't get banquets and fancy hotels and tours on Skype.
Man, that place is huge.
You are so true
It gives everyone a lot of fun.
@Leif: LOL! Not even using binoculars I would spot one them, if I wanted to! Security perimeters are huge, not only around the place where the summit takes place, but also around airports, embassies, hotels, etc. Street cuts are everywhere, many companies, stores, restaurants, car parkings, and so on are now closed. About 200 trials at the Justice Campus (close to the summit place) were posteponed. Thousands of people on land and on the air and are being affected by all of this. Believe me, it's a big mess!
Hmmm mega evento hein!Quanto dinheiro gasto nessa preparaçao toda!
Amei suas palavras!

You make a very good point. However, I'm glad you've shown us this photo so I can now have a more accurate picture in my mind when I listen to the news.
Any excuse to waste money I guess!
Lucky for you that security didn't jump you for taking that photo. Have a wonderful weekend.
@Sharon and Randy: The summit is taking place in Lisbon, this is just the command at Oeiras, no big bosses here! :-)
Too much money spent if nothing good comes out of it! I'm sure that all the leaders will have a nice time though.
I really don't know what I'd do without my Skype! I was a user when there were less than 100,000 of us online. At this moment, there are 23,134,729!
Hope, at least something good comes out of it!
Can you blame them if they want to personally see the charm of your hometown?
They all must have some fun abroad, once and then. I bet they won't fly RyanAir!
Skype... for sure! hahaha!
love your point of view!
It's so sad to say, I've never used Skype!
Sometimes one wonders if they know anything. MB
