Museu do Oriente

One of my favourite museums in Lisbon

"... a diversified cultural heritage of historical, artistic, documental, ethnographic and anthropologic interest dealing not only with popular culture and Oriental religions but also the most varied aspects of the Portuguese presence in Asia throughout over five centuries." @Irina: Days are so grey and ugly that I really don't feel like taking photos outdoors, so I will make a museum series this week.

Fantastic capture as always, JM! And I do so understand not wanting to take photos outside because of the weather! It's the same way here -- miserable!! Not anything I choose or desire to take photos of! Ah, but the sun will return one day to both of our countries hopefully!!! Have a great week! Stay dry!

Whee! What a composition...stairway to heaven?

Sounds like a most interesting museum...and most fascinating is "the Portuguese presence in Asia throughout over five centuries."

Who knew?

Nice perspective. Sounds like we will be having an interesting week of pictures from there. I am happy that photography was allowed.

AMAZING PHOTO! Museums can be loved for the material or the presentation, but when they coincide, it's an exciting experience. This seems to be one of them.

Such a cool photo! Great lines and light and/or lack of it. You're right, the museum looks very interesting.

Those stairs look as swish as the ones in the Apple building.
