Sweet children, but frozen in stone.
What are they drinking, do you suppose? They are lovely.
Beautiful children carved out of marble! At a church or a cathedral I guess, non?
Very impressive, I can't wait to see where they are!
I hope there are still artisans doing this style of work.
c'est tres beau, tout doux, tres poetique ces anges
Sont-ils sur le piédestal d'une statue dédiée à Bacchus ? Bien assoiffés, c'est sûr !
Beautiful images. I cant' wait to see where they are located.
My guess is that they are part of a fountain. Nice.
Oh, how lovely they are! And your captures are superb! Can't wait to learn more! Hope you have a great evening, JM!Sylvia
Now I am curious... OK, I am always curious!
The ecstasy of satiating thirst. It communicates through the stone.
Little cherubs? Let's see what they're really doing? They are sensitively carved. You rarely see drinking in sculpture! This is nice.
My guess is that these are baroque sculpture of angels or putti on a marble relief fountain, but I don't know where it is! This precious art work needs restoring badly, I observe!
Ih how wonderful. It looks like marble. Yes? Darling cherubs. MB
I'm always amazed by stone sculpture - the shape and smoothness from stone.
