It is lovely! I would enjoy being up there on that balcony above all those beautiful columns.

You are making a compelling argument to travel to Sintra...All of your photos are lovely and like Lois, I can just imagine the view from that great balcony!

JM, I went back to look at the images I missed earlier this week. What a charming romantic place is Sintra... Portugal is moving up on my list of places to visit... We drove through too fast when I was there in the 80's!

Sintra is actually full of 18th - 19th century Romantic architecture. I make it a point to visit the municipality whenever I go to Lisbon. A must to visit again and again! Beautiful picture!

So grand and inviting at the same time. Looks like the kind of place I would love to have a holiday.

Really gorgeous and grand. Nice perspective you took too.
If you thought I was complaining before about daily posting, tomorrow/todays post may be a bit worse! :) I'll apologize in advance.

Yes, beautiful and romantic! I like the way you captured the light on the hill, making somewhat white like the buildings.

I can't imagine living in a place with so much history and gorgeous architecture. It makes your travels to the "wild" places even more impressive. Judging from your photos, Sintra is one place I would find hard to leave, They should hire you to do their advertising!

The red blossoms on the shrub liven up the photo. Yes, the balcony would be a favorite spot for m any people.

This is such a wonderful place, nicely shot. The green bush and its fiery red blooms really make the white architecture stand out.
