The tiles with the street name are beautiful, the rest is silence:)

Odd eh? that stucco stuff doesn't last unless it is continually white washed and the salt air doesn't help. MB

The wall is a little rough around the edges but, that window frame is very neat and tidy.

So sad to see the decay in so many places these days! Terrific capture as always, JM!

I didn't know that saudade had its own street. Quite appropriate, I have to say...

@VP: Actually there are many old streets, patios or alleys called saudade all over the country.
For those who are not famliared with the word, well, there is no english translation, but I can say it means something between longing or yearning and nostalgia.

Nice composition with the window and signs. How come decay in your town looks lovely? :)

I love that pretty window, such a contrast to the peeling wall.

Your decay always looks so artistic.

P.S.: and Saudade is pretty evocative, at least musically!

I like this one a lot. Shapes, colors, lines, textures, some crisp, some worn. Excellent.

It's the mold that gets to me...so similar to what we find in the coastal areas of Florida. Nice colors, though!

I love the street sign and the design on the street or driveway.

Before reading your definition of saudade, I was moved to look it up and found a fascinating etymology on wikipedia. The window in your photo looks rather new.
