Well, I have learned two things through your post today... I need to take a course in architecture and I need to visit Sintra! Your coverage of Sintra is superbe featuring so many different aspects of this place.

I don't know Neo-Manueline from Emanuelle (remember her?) but I do like this ornate construction...Very intricate and beautiful. That city hall just blows the mind. Most city halls in the US are functional boxes which mirror the minds of the bureaucrats who work in them!
Re the album page: That is on Images - L & L Photography...just below the title of the blog, there are boxes which contain names of the pages of the blog...there are three albums now on the album page.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the HITS album...we had a great day. The horses and riders put on wonderful shows in the different arenas...
JM...What a magnificent piece of architecture. It is amazing. This country is simply not old enough to have awesome buildings like this....so old yet so strong and beautiful. Your captures are awesome. I just visited your other blogs...all of your work is so appealing to me. I am just going to have to allow a set amount of time each day to pay you a visit. You are so talented. By the way, I promise you Bud and I will go back to the old tram bridge come spring. It will be interesting how those brambles and vines change. Even the city hall is a romantic place! Love this style of architecture that is uniquely Portuguese! The columns remind me of the cloister court yards, truly magnificent!
) am pleased I recommended your blog to someone who went to Lisbon last weekend, and should hire a car for a week and drive around.... I seriously hope they have gone for some of the places you are showing here on your blog. Magnificent building!

I must confess that I've not heard of this style before but it's quite lovely and grand.
